Neighborhood and Community Programs

Ceres Partnership for Healthy Children believes that for children to flourish and be healthy we need safe neighborhoods and a community that supports families.  CPHC is the catalyst for addressing issues that arise in our neighborhoods and community and brings community together to support families.

Neighbor to Neighbor Program

This is a successful community-building program in which residents work together to improve their neighborhoods.  Our Neighborhood Outreach Workers assist interested families who join together with their neighbors to find ways to improve their neighborhood.  Neighborhood groups talk about their concerns, develop strategies and steps to address those concerns, thus increasing the health and safety of the children who live there.  Such concerns often include; traffic safety, neighborhood clean-ups, street lights, sidewalks, gang activity, and street improvement.

Community Events & Fun Activities

Ceres Partnership for Healthy Children hosts many community events throughout the year.  Our Family Resource & Fun Fest is scheduled for September with fun activities for the kids and resources and health screenings for the whole family.  We feed about 1600 people a free lunch and everyone enjoys raffle prizes and lots of freebies.  National Night Out is the first Tuesday in August.  This night out against crime is hosted by Ceres Public Safety, Ceres Partnership and many local community groups and businesses. We host many Family Day Activities throughout the year. These are free fun filled activities that encourage positive parent/child interaction and brings the whole family together. Special Holiday Activities are also planned in collaboration with City of Ceres and local churches.  Call us for more information 541-0101
